SALES AND SERVICING OF IMMERSION SUITS
The revised SOLAS regulation III/32.3 (in force from 1st July 2006) requires one Immersion Suit each person to be provided onboard a cargo ship, with additional suits to be provided at work and watch keeping stations which are ‘remotely located’ from the immersion suits storage locations.
For commercial vessels, immersion suits must be serviced every 3 years. Immersion suits older than 10 years must be serviced more frequently. Requirements can vary from flag state to flag state.
Our service centre is IACS approved to carry out the inspection of all types of Immersion Suits with professional test kits.
